Facing the increasingly competitive challenges of the industry, the CEO of PT Adiputro Wirasejati, Mr. Andre Jethrokusumo, emphasized the importance of a more structured and efficient system:
“The bus body manufacturing business is definitely more dynamic, faster, and requires greater precision. Therefore, we decided to adopt a new ERP system, Epicor. The world is moving faster, and we want to minimize human error and ensure production remains on schedule. In-Depth Selection and Evaluation Process
Adiputro did not arrive at the decision to choose Epicor instantaneously. According to Mr. Andy Mulyawan, Territory Manager for Epicor Indonesia, the selection process began in January 2023 with a very comprehensive approach.
“Adiputro undertook a very detailed and in-depth selection and evaluation process. They conducted customer visits and visited companies that had successfully implemented Epicor through PT Inti Data Utama. We were also given the opportunity to directly inspect the factory conditions at Adiputro to better understand and communicate regarding the key ERP functionalities they needed.”
The primary scope of the Epicor implementation at Adiputro encompasses core financials, core supply chain management, core production processes, and analytical functionalities designed to facilitate data-driven decision-making. A significant challenge within the Make-to-Order sector, particularly in bus body manufacturing, lies in effective production planning and scheduling. Epicor is expected to provide enhanced visibility for scheduling the production of individual bus units, each with unique specifications.
